Hello and welcome to my stitching world! I’m Bernadette Felice Hare, the creator behind Stitch Happens Malta. I have been passionate about cross stitching for over 30 years, and what began as a relaxing hobby has grown into a creative journey of designing patterns inspired by the beauty I see around me.
My work is influenced by nature, travel, everyday moments, whimsical artwork, and the rich colours of the Mediterranean. I enjoy transforming ideas, photographs, and artistic concepts into detailed cross stitch designs that bring joy, calm, and creativity to fellow stitchers around the world.
Some of my designs begin with my own original photography, carefully edited and adapted into cross stitch patterns. Others are created using AI-assisted or AI-enhanced artwork, which I refine, adjust, and convert into stitchable designs with attention to colour, detail, and stitching enjoyment. Whenever a design is AI-assisted, I believe in being transparent about that process so that customers know the creative background of each piece.
Every pattern is prepared with stitchers in mind, with the aim of creating projects that are both beautiful to display and enjoyable to stitch, whether you are a beginner or an experienced cross stitch enthusiast.
